Belgian Ardennes

The Belgian Ardennes designate the wooded and rolling massif covering southeast Wallonia (Liege, Luxembourg, Namur provinces), the geological continuation of the French and Luxembourg Ardennes. The territory alternates schist plateaus (altitude 400 to 694 metres at the Signal de Botrange, Belgium's highest point), river valleys (Meuse, Ourthe, Semois, Lesse) and dense forests (50 per cent forest cover).
