Bleisure

Adding a few personal days to a business trip, usually around the weekend on either side. The word combines business and leisure, and it entered the travel industry vocabulary through a 2014 Bridgestreet survey. Post-pandemic flexibility made it standard: Expedia reports that 60 percent of business travellers worldwide extended at least one trip in 2025. Hotels respond with bleisure rates that hold the corporate price through Saturday night, packages that include a partner staying free, and ready-made local experiences on the concierge desk. It is the easiest way for a company to upgrade an employee perk without raising salaries.
