Cassis

Cassis is a Provence appellation, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, nestled around the harbour of the same name between Marseille and La Ciotat, at the foot of the calanques. It stood out as early as 1936 as one of the first French vineyards granted appellation status. Its production leans mainly toward dry white wines based on marsanne and clairette, aromatic and fresh, prized alongside Mediterranean seafood cuisine.
