Chef of the Year

['chef of the year']

Chef of the Year is a title awarded by several international gastronomic publications to a chef for their annual reach and quality of work. In France, Le Chef magazine has awarded the title of Chef de l'Annee since 1984, decided by a jury of starred chefs. Recent recipients include Glenn Viel (L'Oustau de Baumaniere, 2022), Anne-Sophie Pic (2014), Yannick Alleno (2008). In the United Kingdom, the title is awarded by the Catey Awards and the GQ Food and Drink Awards. In Germany and Switzerland, equivalent prizes exist.
