Chef's table

A chef's table is a private dining experience set inside or adjacent to the working kitchen. You sit at a special table, watch the brigade in action, and the chef typically comes over multiple times during service to explain dishes and answer questions. Expect a customized tasting menu (often longer than the regular one), pricing 30-50% above the standard menu, and a duration of 3-4 hours. Group size is usually 2-10 people. Practical considerations: it can be loud and warm given the proximity to cooking stations, dress code is smart (no shorts), and booking requires 1-6 months lead time at top venues. Many chef's tables include kitchen tours and signed menus as souvenirs. Ideal for special occasions or culinary enthusiasts.
