Clos de Vougeot

A walled grand cru in the village of Vougeot, one of the largest in Burgundy and of Cistercian monastic origin. Its fifty hectares are divided among numerous owners, and wine quality varies markedly with position on the slope. A historic symbol of the vineyard, it remains an emblematic cru on great Burgundian wine lists.
