Gebs

Carved plaster stucco of Moroccan and Arab-Andalusian architecture, chiselled into openwork lace of geometric, floral and calligraphic motifs. Gebs dresses cornices, friezes, arches and screens, joining walls to ceilings in a dense ornamental texture. Hand-cut by specialist master craftsmen known as maâlems, it adorns the ceremonial salons of riads and Eastern heritage palaces reconverted into luxury accommodation, where its restoration demands rare expertise.
