Glass rimming
Glass rimming is the coating of a glass edge with a layer of salt, sugar or spices, achieved by moistening the rim and dipping it into the mixture. The salt-rimmed Margarita and the sugar-rimmed Sidecar offer its best-known examples. This border adds a saline or sweet note to each sip and shapes the cocktail's visual presentation.
