Iznik tile

An Ottoman ceramic tile produced in Iznik during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, recognisable by its floral motifs of tulips, carnations and roses on a white ground, heightened with cobalt blue, turquoise and Armenian bole red. Prized by sultans, these tiles adorned Topkapi Palace and the great mosques. They dress the heritage spaces of Istanbul's luxury hotels, bringing documented imperial craftsmanship to interiors and feature walls.
