Maybar

Maybar (sometimes spelled "may bar") is hotel-industry shorthand for the signature cocktail bar of a luxury hotel, a destination bar with its own bartender star, its own cocktail menu, its own design language and often its own awards. The rise of the World's 50 Best Bars ranking has made the hotel bar a separate F&B asset that drives bookings on its own. The legends: Bar Hemingway at the Ritz Paris (Colin Field), the Connaught Bar in London (Agostino Perrone, regularly ranked World's Best), Atlas Bar at Parkview Square Singapore (over 1,300 gins), Bemelmans Bar at the Carlyle in NYC (with the original Madeline murals), Manhattan Bar at Regent Singapore. Going to these isn't a nightcap, it's the reason for the trip.
