Mojito

The Mojito refers to a long Cuban cocktail of white rum, muddled fresh mint, lime, sugar and soda water, served over crushed ice. Its roots reach back to earlier Havana drinks, popularised in Havana during the twentieth century, notably at the Bodeguita del Medio. Listed in the International Bartenders Association repertoire, it illustrates the refreshing balance between acidity, sugar and aromatic herbs.
