Pauillac

Pauillac is a communal appellation of the Médoc, on the left bank of the Gironde, dominated by cabernet sauvignon. It gathers three first growths of the 1855 classification: Lafite Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild, the last promoted in 1973. Its deep gravel plateaus yield powerful reds with a tight tannic frame and exceptional ageing potential, among the longest lived in the whole Bordeaux region.
