Pomerol
Pomerol is a small right bank appellation of Bordeaux, next to Saint-Émilion, devoted entirely to red wines dominated by merlot. It has no official classification, yet counts some of the most sought after estates worldwide, including Petrus, planted with pure merlot. Its famous clay and iron rich soil, marked by a blue clay subsoil, shapes velvety, dense and opulent reds prized by collectors.
