Raicilla

Raicilla refers to an artisanal agave spirit produced in the Mexican state of Jalisco, long distilled clandestinely before gaining official status. It received its own Mexican denomination of origin in 2019 and draws on mountain and coastal agaves such as maximiliana and inaequidens. Its frequently floral, fruity and lightly smoky profiles appeal to cocktail bars seeking lesser known alternatives to tequila and mezcal.
