Sandalwood

A precious wood whose oil gives off a creamy, milky, soft and persistent scent, much sought after as a base note. Sandalwood, notably from Mysore, ranks among the noble materials of perfumery, bringing warmth, roundness and longevity. Its woody softness makes it a frequent starting point for hotel signature scents evoking the hushed comfort of a palace.
