Schuss
A descent straight down the fall line, skis parallel, without turning or braking, allowing a high speed to be reached. The term, borrowed from German, denotes the most direct and rapid passage of a slope. Reserved for accomplished skiers and open stretches, the schuss demands balance and control. On the ski domains served by mountain palaces, certain wide and even pistes lend themselves particularly well to this exhilarating manoeuvre.
