Seating plan

A seating plan refers to the deliberate arrangement of guests around a table, fixed in advance according to precedence, personal affinities and the alternation of men and women. Convention places the female guest of honour to the host's right and avoids seating spouses side by side. In palace hotels, the maitre d'hotel approves this plan before every official dinner to ensure smooth service and protocol comfort for all attendees.
