Snowcat skiing

A form of off-piste skiing in which a tracked vehicle, the snowcat, ferries skiers to the summit of untouched slopes inaccessible by lift, a more affordable and quieter alternative to heli-skiing. Snowcat skiing allows repeated descents in fresh snow within a preserved setting, supervised by a guide. Some mountain palaces, notably in North America, offer this exclusive experience to their sporting clientele in search of wilderness terrain.
