Table wine service
Table wine service refers to the act of presenting the bottle, offering the host a taste, then pouring for the guests from the right without the neck touching the glass. The waiter wipes the bottle, twists the wrist at the end of the pour to catch the drop and measures according to the glass. Codified in sommellerie, this gesture respects the order of precedence at the table and discreetly paces the meal.
