Tablet Hotels Plus (Michelin)
Tablet Hotels is a curated booking platform founded in New York in 2000 by Michael Davis and Laurent Vernhes, focused on independent boutique design hotels. Michelin acquired Tablet in 2018, and is integrating it into the broader Michelin Guide ecosystem (which itself launched Michelin Key in 2024). Tablet Plus is a paid loyalty program (around USD 99 a year) giving access to perks (upgrades, credits, late check-out) at about 950 partner hotels. For travelers, Tablet Plus is a niche alternative to American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts and Virtuoso, with a boutique design focus and a much lower entry fee. Editorial curation is done by an in-house team and professional photography is required.
