Vouvray

Vouvray is a Touraine appellation, on the right bank of the Loire near Tours, dedicated entirely to chenin blanc. The grape appears here in a full range: dry, off-dry, medium sweet, sweet and traditional method sparkling, depending on the vintage. Soils of limestone tuffeau and flinty clay give the wines acidity and longevity, the finest sweet cuvées lasting several decades in the cellar with remarkable ease.
