Sleep-optimized Room
['sleep suite', 'optimised sleep room', 'sleep recovery room']
A sleep-optimized room embeds by design all the physical parameters known to support falling asleep, maintaining sleep and nocturnal recovery. The list includes reinforced acoustic insulation (targeting 30 decibels indoor), full light blackout, set-point temperature adjustable between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius, controlled humidity, hypoallergenic bedding, circadian lighting with adjustable spectrum and HEPA-filtered air purification. Hospitality Net 2026 notes the rise of rooms equipped with breathing and motion sensors, able to generate a night report readable by the guest the next morning. The American Hotel & Lodging Association 2024 documents the emergence of sleep room tariff categories priced 25 to 40 percent above the equivalent standard room. A little-known fact: some Japanese properties now offer motorised reclining beds with circadian programming, derived from aerospace research (Hospitality Net, 2026).
